We believe that Jesus, the only Son of God and the second person of the Godhead, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the complete payment for our sins, and rose from the dead the third day, and now sits at God’s right hand interceding for his saints. John 1:1, Luke 2:34-35, Romans 8:26
We believe that good works cannot save, but that the only way a person can go to Heaven when he dies, is to place his faith in the finished work that Jesus Christ provided with His blood, shed on the cross. John 3:16-18, Romans 10:13, Ephesians 2:8-9
We believe the King James Bible is the inerrant Word of God, and we take the words of the Bible literally. The Bible is God’s love letter to mankind; the Final Authority, and our source of instruction on how to live a life pleasing to Christ. II Timothy 3:16-17
Once a person puts his faith and trust in Jesus for salvation, he is commanded to be baptized by immersion as testimony to others of what took place when he or she trusted Christ; we do this in obedience, not to save us, but to show that we have been saved. Acts 8:38-39
We believe Christians should observe the Lord’s Supper on a regular basis, in remembrance of the sacrifice Jesus made for us with his broken body and shed blood. Observing the Lord’s Supper is a memorial and not a requirement for salvation. I Corinthians 11:20-34
The Church is a called out assembly of born again, baptized believers, acknowledging Christ as the Head of the Church. We believe that the church should be
the moral conscience of a community. The church should be known as a spiritual hospital where people come for spiritual healing. Acts 2:41-47
We believe that it is Christ’s command and our responsibility, to spread the Gospel to our community, nation, and world (through world-wide missions).
Mark 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” As the world grows darker, our light should shine brighter.
We believe that Christians should talk, act, and live, holy, Christ-honoring lives, as children of God and citizens of Heaven. The Bible is our moral compass and we make no apology for our conservative beliefs in many areas, including family values, social issues, and personal behavior. Titus 2:14
